As of July, 2010
Our journey began in 1988 with the mission of helping children and the community in one of the poorest slums in New Delhi. We believe that education is the key to bringing India's children out of extreme poverty and hardship. In 1990 we began the first Katha Lab School with five children.
Today Katha runs 96 schools with more than 7000 children. Katha also works in 50 Municipal Schools and has established a Community Reading Programme that positively impact almost 100,000 children.
